Upon successful completion of this program and the post test (70%), 1.5 hours of continuing education credit will be awarded. To receive credit and your exam score, please complete the exam questions and
program evaluation.
Educational Goals and Objectives
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Describe the role of asthma trigger management, short-acting
beta2-agonists, and inhaled corticosteroids in asthma therapy.
- Describe the role of LABAs in the stepwise treatment of
asthma.
- Discuss the advisory issued by the FDA on LABA safety and
the evidence related to this advisory.
- Counsel a patient on the use of a LABA and the risk versus
benefit of use for the specific patient.
